The cobra is the most well known stretch that is used by fitness enthusiasts because it works wonders in relaxing your body. The cobra is a great stretch for your abdominal and lower back. Just make sure to stretch out fully and breathe deep to relax your muscles. Hold for 20 seconds and then release. Release the tension in your lower back to make the most out of this because this is one of the best stretching exercises!
The full body stretch is pretty simple as you are basically sprawling out and elongating your body. The key is to take a deep breath and relax as you perform this exercise. Hold this extension and release.
Balance your hips and stretch out your body by reaching over for a few side bends. The key with this stretch, as with most stretching, is to take deep breaths and just relax. In just a few minutes, you will feel good as new.
Stretch out your shoulders with this dynamic stretch (stretching in motion). Just make sure you stand with your feet shoulder width apart and move those arms. In just a few sets you will feel loose and ready for your upper body workout or just to embark upon your day!
Another dynamic stretch that is so simple yet so effective in loosening the body and prepping for the day is the jumping jack. As a trainer it is a rare day when I do not utilize this exercise or dynamic stretch in my workouts and you should too because it works wonders!
Perform head rolls and side neck stretches to release the tension in your neck and upper back. Relax, light a candle to get in the relaxation mode and feel your stress ease away.
To stretch out your lower body begin with some stretches in motion, like half squats. Lower your body halfway with your weight in your heels to perform squats. Squats are a super effective exercise to target your legs and butt, so this stretch will target your lower body as well.
Make sure you integrate these stretches into your daily fitness and health routine to prevent injury, target your lower body and better your health. Are you ready to stretch it out and see great results? Then get stretching and stretch your way to a new day!
