7 Ways to Keep Fit with a Busy Schedule ...

When you’re always running around, it’s difficult to find ways to keep fit. You have to finish all of your chores, so you don’t have time for exercise. However, there are ways to keep fit without drastically altering your schedule. You can change a few minor things in order to stay healthy.

1

Choose Stairs

If you have the option, always take the stairs instead of the elevator. Even if your destination is only one floor away, the steps can add up throughout the day. One of the simplest ways to keep fit is by choosing the path that will make you exert the most energy. It will get your muscles moving, but not so much so that you’ll be panting when you get to your class or office. Plus, this move will keep you from having to buy a StairMaster.

2

Long Way

If your school or job is nearby, ride a bike there instead of taking your car. If you’re worried about sweating, you can bring a change of clothes for once you get there. If a car is your only choice, then park away from your building so that you have to walk a bit to get inside. Whenever you have the time, take the long route to your destination. That way, you’ll get your legs moving.

3

Plan Your Day

Even the busiest schedule can be rearranged in some way. If you plan out your day, you should be able to find a small space of time where you have nothing to do. Even if it’s less than an hour, take the time to do some simple exercises. Walk on a treadmill or do some crunches. Anything will help keep you healthy.

4

Stand Tall

If you have the option of sitting or standing, always choose the latter! Studies show that those who sit for too long have a higher risk of disease. Healthland.time.com claims that, “Even if you exercise nearly every day, those health benefits can be undone if you spend the rest of your time on your keister." It’s best to keep standing so that your muscles are doing a bit of work. It can’t hurt.

5

Stretch It out

Even if you don’t have time for a workout, you should make sure you stretch. You can do this in nearly any location, so there’s no excuse not to do so. Stretching reduces your aches and pains, and can make you feel better about your body. You don’t want to feel sore from sitting around all day or carrying a heavy pocketbook. You can alleviate these aches by doing a bit of stretching.

Famous Quotes

To give oneself earnestly to the duties due to men, and, while respecting spiritual beings, to keep aloof from them, may be called wisdom.

Small Sets

You don’t have to set aside hours for exercising. If you have small spurts of free time, use them to work out. You can do a few pushups here and a few lunges there. It doesn’t make a difference if your workouts are done during separate sections of the day. It’s better to do something than nothing at all.

7

Useful Socialization

If part of your schedule includes bonding with your friends, put the time to good use. You don’t have to take them out to dinner or watch movies together. You can challenge them to a game of badminton or Just Dance on the Wii. You’ll have fun while keeping healthy. What could be better than that?

Even when your schedule is packed, try to fit in a bit of exercise. It’ll keep you healthy and alert for the day. How often do you find time to work out?
