It is always fun to make New Year’s Resolutions and start the year both motivated and inspired. And every year, across the world, 90% of resolutions are in some way focused on health. Unfortunately over half of these goal setters fail to meet their goal. But that does not mean you are doomed for failure. Some of these resolutions made are far too aggressive or the individual is just not that motivated. But that is not you! Or do not let that be you. Here are some totally doable New Year’s fitness resolutions to help you to get up, get going and make 2018 the healthiest year for you!

1. Challenge Yourself

Up the intensity in your current routine and challenge yourself to something more difficult. If you are a short distance runner, think of registering for a marathon. If you normally just do light weight lifting for upper body, consider registering for an indoor rock climbing class. Challenge yourself to something greater and you will achieve amazing fitness results this year!

2. Try Something New

The daily routine of hitting the gym for a walk on the treadmill and then abs is no longer cutting it. Your body is stuck in a rut and it is definitely time for a change. 7. Get to Bed Earlier

Get to bed earlier and get in a regular routine of sleep every night. Erratic schedules can put stress on the body causing the body to secrete the hormone cortisol which can cause excess weight gain. So get to bed early and rise earlier to get your workout in! You will look better, have more energy and become healthier this 2017 by catching plenty of zzzs!
