Are you trying to find ways to make morning workouts easier? Working out can often feel like just another thing to do in a very busy workday. At the end of the day, when you are feeling tired and ready to relax, it is so easy to make excuses and forget about exercising.

Frequently skipping workouts can make you feel even more tired and can lower your self esteem. Since we all know how important exercising is for both our mental and physical health, it's time to use these ways to make morning workouts easier! Learning to wake up earlier is not an easy task, but if you are able to make it a habit, it is a great way to start the day on a positive and healthy note, and to free up your evenings for relaxing (and happy hour)! Here are 5 tips I used to change my exercise mindset to working out in the early mornings!

1

Lay out Clothes the Night before

Laying out my clothes the night before saves time in the morning and takes the thought out of getting ready when I am still feeling tired! Having my clothes laid out makes it harder for me to make excuses in the morning and is one of the easiest ways to make morning workouts easier.

2

Update Your Music Playlist

Having a fresh new playlist or a few new songs motivates me and makes me excited to get moving!

3

Go to Bed Earlier, Little by Little

I started going to bed just 20 to 30 minutes before my usual bedtime, and was able to gradually move that up even earlier so that I can get enough sleep! Making sure I feel rested is crucial if I am trying to wake up and exercise right away.

4

Have a Set Workout Plan

If I know exactly what I am going to be doing during my workout, I am able to spend less time exercising and I don’t have to waste time thinking about what I want to do! Spending 5 minutes writing out a workout (or pinning one!) saves a lot of time in the early morning!

5

Meet a Friend

Having someone to meet keeps me accountable and much more excited than I am on my own! If I know there is someone waiting for me, I am much less likely to hit the snooze button because I don’t want to leave my friend hanging! This means I can get in a great workout and get in some girl time in the middle of a busy week!
