Want to multitask while you’re doing squats? Squats are one of the most effective exercises in working the lower body, so you wouldn’t want to miss doing them, right? Sometimes, with limited time and busy schedules, this may be the first exercise that is forgotten - but not any longer! I have some solutions for those of you with limited time. Here are several ways that you can multitask while you’re doing squats:
As you brush your teeth, do not mindlessly stand there! Why not work your glutes with 20 squats while you brush? This is a great way to multitask while you’re doing squats. Have better oral hygiene along with a tighter, more toned butt!
While you chat away with your friend or family member, why not also get your workout in? Perform squats for 3 repetitions of 10 while catching up with a loved one. This is a great way to utilize your limited time and multitask to tone and talk at the same time!
As you wait for the bus or train, do not just stand there! You can perform 20 jump squats instead. As weird as you may feel doing them if there is a crowd staring, just think of the results you are earning. So stop standing and start squatting to help you achieve toned glutes and tight legs!
As you are sitting in your office and doing your bills, why not remove the chair and perform a squat hold? As much as this exercise burns, it is well worth the strain to achieve amazing results. Perform 3 sets of 1-2 minute squat holds!
Online shopping is another opportunity for you to remove the chair and either perform squat touches (sit down on a chair and stand up) or a squat hold. This is the best way to make the most of your time, especially if you find yourself making excuses about why you are not working out. Sometimes a lack of time is the true reason, so make time by multitasking!
As you wait for your turkey burger to cook on the grill, do not just stand there looking at the birds, bees and apple trees! Get squatting! Perform 4 sets of 10 squats while your burgers are cooking. As you sit and enjoy your meal, you will feel gratification knowing that you earned it!
While you are in line at the grocery store or waiting at the doctor’s office, perform some squats to multitask. There is no sense in just sitting or standing there, so make the most out of your day by squeezing in this small fitness session. You can do squats in place for as long as you can until you feel fatigue. Just do not overdo it - 8 sets of 10 should be your max. And ignore the bystanders that are giving you weird looks, they wish they were confident enough to do this in public!
Now that you have some great ways to multitask while squatting, get going in performing one of the best lower body exercises that produces amazing results. When you are feeling fatigued or not motivated, ask yourself one important question: are you ready for the challenge to get in the best shape of your life? Then get squatting!
