7 Reasons to Walk More Often ...


With the weather starting to get warmer each day, do I really need to go into the various reasons to walk more? I think walking is a great way to exercise, especially when the weather is just right. If you add walking to your routine, you may just find yourself reaping the benefits without really doing all that much. I know I look forward to going out for walks around the block or at the local park. Check out these reasons to walk more.

1. 10,000

The British National Health Service (NHS) recommends taking 10,000 steps a day. That’s about five miles worth of walking. On average, most people get between 3-4,000. One reason to walk more is to improve your overall health and maintain that level of fitness. Your body is your vehicle for life so it’s important to take care of it. You may try using a pedometer to track how many steps you take in a day.
