As a certified trainer, nutritionist, marathoner and healthy mom of four, health is something I center my entire universe around. I spend my time training clients, eating healthy and writing about health for you. Being healthy often goes along with being happy and if you have a healthy weight, you will feel and look so much better. But how do you attain your healthy weight? And if you struggle with weight loss, how do you break this losing battle and win with great results? Well, first off you must be willing to put in time, energy and a great deal of effort and second, you must be ready for change. Are you ready? Then follow my weight loss tips for a lifelong journey of the health and happiness you most certainly deserve!
Over the years with countless clients, I have found that the people with the best results always exercise in the morning. These same clients met their goals and changed their lifestyle by developing new healthy habits of exercising in the early morning. If you have a busy schedule you will find morning workouts to be the best way to find time for your fitness. So start your day the right way with a workout!
Instead of three larger meals that take longer for your body to digest, have smaller mini meals throughout the day. If you do this every day, you will never feel hungry but you will boost your metabolism and have elevated energy levels. If you are unsure what to eat, reach out to a nutritionist or feel free to contact me!
Prepare your weekly meal plan and prep some meals and snacks at least one day prior. Then, when it is meal time, you can leave the guesswork out. When people fall off of their healthy eating plan, it is often out of laziness or lack of planning. So prepare for success to achieve the health results that you deserve!
Plenty of greens every day will keep the doctor away, or at least at bay. Make sure you have 5-7 servings of veggies to boost your metabolism and also aid your health. An easy way to get 5 serving is to eat two salads a day with a variety of veggies in them.
One of the biggest problems dieters have is that they diet. You do not have to be on a diet to lose weight, you can modify your current eating, add more veggies and eliminate processed food to see incredible results. But since life in moderation is the key to a healthy lifestyle, do not be super strict, just make healthier choices!
No matter how tough a day or when life seems to just not be going my way, I always pick my head up to stay positive. Positivity helps me to get back on my health plan if I have an off day with eating. Positivity also helps me to never give up. So get in a positive mindset for your weight loss goals and remember, this is about embracing a healthier lifelong lifestyle.
As you stay up late watching your favorite prerecorded show, you just may be pushing the bar and doing too much. If you deprive yourself of sleep, you will not only leave yourself cranky but also find yourself gaining weight. Lack of sleep causes your body to secrete the hormone cortisol, which is a weight gainer, and ghrelin, which will stimulate your appetite. So aim for 7-9 hours of sleep (this is the only tip I am so bad at following with 3 little ones, but eventually I will get there)!
So with all of my super weight loss tips, make sure you follow this for life, make healthy changes and live the healthy life you deserve. Nourish your body with love, health and happiness; these are the key essentials to live your best life!
