With any sprain, strain or bruise, there is some blood and inflammation in the underlying tissue and cold therapy of icing will help reduce inflammation and quicken the healing process. Olympian are accustomed to plenty of bruising so they are definitely no strangers to utilizing icing. Do you utilize ice to recover like an Olympian? Catch plenty of Zzzzzs the next few days so you can get your body back in fighting shape and you can heal well. This extra sleep will reduce your levels of the hormone, cortisol, which is a fat gainer, and it will help you to heal. Aim for 2-3 hours of extra sleep a night so you can recover effectively.
