1. Make a Room in Your House Totally Fitness-oriented
Have a television and DVD player with a ton of exercise DVDs, motivaton posters, fitness books and magazines, water bottles, boom box to blast music, etc. Creating a room without a place to sit down and relax is one of the best tips to motivate you to get off the couch.
2. Choose Exercises That You Actually like
If you get bored walking, do weights. If you hate weights, do an aerobics bike. If you hate an aerobics bike, then walk. The point is to find what you like so you're more likely to stick with it.
3. Challenge Yourself to Just 10 Minutes
After a while, you'll be so pumped up that you will want to keep going!
4. Make Exercise Fun!
Go shopping for cute exercise clothes. Treat yourself to a new exercise DVD. Buy yourself a new pedometer. Fun exercise is more likely to become a part of your routine.

6. Mix It up
Go online, especially on YouTube, then pick and choose any workout you want. Workouts may be found for any age or fitness level.
7. Make a Plan
When you know it is time for the soaps to come on, shut off the tube and start your exercise.
8. Reward Yourself
Include a cheat day and have your favorite dish. This will keep you from feeling deprived.
9. Clean and Organize Your House
Run the sweeper, polish the furniture, do the dishes, do the laundry, etc. Housework is activity too and has to be done anyways!
10. Make It a Habit
Exercise any time of the day that you want to, but do it! You are more likely to stick with it if it is the time of day you are most motivated.
