4 Reasons You Aren't Seeing Fitness Results Yet ...

Have you recently started out on a fitness or weight loss journey, and are feeling slightly deflated because you are yet to see and feel the results that you were expecting at this point? First of all, let me say congratulations for starting a regime, that’s half of the battle! Secondly, let me say that getting immediate results isn’t an uncommon thing, and it can be caused by lots of different factors and situations. To help put your mind at ease and keep you motivated, here are four reasons you aren’t seeing fitness results yet.

1

Bad Diet

You can do as much exercise as you want, but unless you pair that with a healthy, balanced diet, your body is going to find it hard to produce the kinds of results that you are hoping for. There is a saying that ‘abs are made in the kitchen’, and there is definitely something to that. Give your body that fuel that it needs to produce food results by eating lots of protein-rich foods like yoghurt, bananas, chocolate milk, all of these are great post-workout recovery snacks. Eating healthy does not just mean eating less.

2

Bad Sleep

If you want your body to change for you, then you need to give it time to rest and recover. The best way to do this is through a regular sleep routine. You should be aiming to get between seven and eight hours every night, going to bed and waking up at sensible times too. Fatigue is one of the key factors in people breaking from diets and binging on junk food, as well as not having the energy to get out there and exercise.

3

Bad Workouts

It’s good if you have found a workout routine that you like, but you shouldn’t get into a schedule of doing exactly the same thing every day. Not only will you be leaving out areas of your body that need to be focused on too, but you also won’t be giving your body time to recover in certain areas, which won’t lead to good results. Come up with a weekly plan that enables you to focus on different areas and muscle groups every day for best results.

4

Bad Attitude

Don’t be disheartened by a week of low results, because if you get into a negative headspace, you will be much more likely to give up before the going has a chance to get good. Sometimes a bad attitude can be just as detrimental as a bad diet. Try to stay as positive as possible and never give up!
