Even though there’s so many reasons to exercise today, most people won't. In fact, 80% of people don’t get the recommended amount of exercise they need each week. There are many reasons for this. One reasons is that we are busy and finding time to exercise can be difficult. Many people also have a hard time staying committed to a workout routine. One of the biggest reasons to exercise today is to stay healthy. Exercising has been proven to help prevent many different illnesses and diseases. Doctors tell us that exercising on a regular basis helps combat things like heart disease, diabetes, and high cholesterol. Exercise can also boost your immune system and decrease your risk of catching colds and other seasonal illnesses.

Exercise, along with a healthy diet, is the best thing that you can do to control your weight. If you're currently trying to lose weight, it's essential that you exercise. It’s a proven fact that exercise burns calories and boosts your metabolism. People who exercise on a regular basis are also more likely to stick with a diet plan. Some studies also say that exercise can work as a mild appetite suppressant.

Do you have a fitness goal? Perhaps you've been training for a 5k marathon. Maybe you have been wanting to complete a certain workout DVD, without having to stop to catch your breath. If you have trouble falling asleep, be sure to schedule your workout in the morning or afternoon. Exercising too late can actually wake you up. This will make it even more difficult for you to fall asleep.

You May Regret It

On days that I plan to work out but don't, I always regret it. For me it always seems like I'm forgetting to do something. I guess that's because I am. The funny thing is, I may regret not working out, but I never regret actually doing it. After exercising, I am always left with a sense of accomplishment.
