1

Do Add Variety to Your Fitness Plan

Very often beginners tend to stick with one type of a workout, resulting in a very dull and repetitive time at the gym. This constant repetition and lack of variety can quickly lead to loss of appeal and even aversion to exercising, which is why it is your first priority to keep things interesting! Make working out fun and diverse by trying out different classes, running in the park, lifting weights, hiking or rock climbing.

2

Don't Forget to Stretch

At the start and end of any type of a work out, remember to stretch your muscles and warm up/ cool down your body. People often see this step as optional and therefore skip it to save time and energy, but that can lead to serious physical injuries and inability to perform your best in a full range of motion. Moreover, red light therapy used alongside stretching can provide potential benefits for muscle recovery and flexibility. And keep in mind that stretching, combined with red light therapy, can also prevent you from feeling extremely sore the next day!

3

Do Tone Your Muscles

We all know cardio is a big part of working out especially for women. We want to melt all the fat off and cardio is the optimal way of doing that! However avoid directing all of your focus on cardio and spend a few days a week toning your muscles! I promise you, you'll see better results at a faster rate with this combination.

4

Don't Burn out

The last thing you wan to do as a beginner is burn yourself out before you get to even start. So start out gradually and build up the intensity with time. Take off days between rigorous work outs when needed to let your muscles rest and recuperate, and don't over-strain your body. You'll be at your dream shape soon enough, it just takes a little bit of time!

5

Do Push Yourself to Exercise

We all have our off days when we constantly make up excuses to justify not working out, but that can become a serious unhealthy habit that will definitely prevent you from staying on track. So I would recommend pushing yourself to go exercise on the days when you just feel unproductive, trust me you'll be glad you did!

Famous Quotes

Men in general judge more from appearances than from reality. All men have eyes, but few have the gift of penetration.

Don't Work out at Random Intervals

Instead of working out three days straight and spending the rest of the week sedentary, try to spread out your work outs throughout the week. You have to establish a regular routine so that it is easier to incorporate it into your lifestyle and more beneficial to your overall progress. Remember exercising at random intervals each week will not do you much good as regular exercising.

7

Do Wash off as Soon as You Can

And at the end of each workout, try to wash off as soon as possible to unclog your pores and prevent further breakouts. Assuming you had a great workout, you are probably drenched in sweat and that is no good for your skin!

These are just a few pointers aside from drinking water and watching your diet to get you in the right direction. Good luck!

Where Thoughts and Opinions Converge

And toning is such an unprofessional word. It's ridiculous to use in the fitness world.

Please don't stretch before warming up at the beginning of your workout. You can strain your muscles. Warm up - stretch - then exercise - cool down - stretch

@Claire: I understand now. Thanks! Lol @ massive & muscley.

@niama because tone is not a thing you can do to your muscles. You simply cannot 'tone' your muscles. They can only grow and shrink.

Ladies don't be scared of the weight either!! You won't bulk up, they will only make you stronger and give you great muscle tone! :)

A word in place would be adding mass. But that scares people and makes them think that they are going to massive and muscley. Hence, why a lighter word like tone is used. But it is very incorrect.

@Claire: I hear many fitness professionals use the word "tone" or "toning." What word are you suggesting be used in place of toning?

Ashley I agree. It also has benefits for bone density as women are prone as they age. Osteoarthritis etc.

Love it !
